Valproate Medicines
Are you acting in compliance with the pregnancy prevention measures?
Previous Medicines Update blogs have highlighted the MHRA valproate medicines safety alert April 2018 regarding women taking valproate medicines. A further MHRA – Drug Safety Update Dec 2018 reminds professionals that they must continue to identify and review all female patients on valproate, including when it is used outside the licensed indications (off-label use) and provide them with the patient information materials.
