  • Consider withdrawal of tablets with ongoing review.
  • Other brands are available if oral therapy is required. Generic salbutamol tablets (not modified release) cost in excess of £100 for 28 tablets. The 2mg/5ml liquid is 72p / 150ml.

Pulvinal® inhalers range

For beclometasone:

  • Clenil Modulite® is the preferred inhaled steroid metered dose inhaler (MDI)
  • Beclometasone Easyhaler® is the preferred inhaled steroid dry powder inhaler (DPI)
  • Both Clenil Modulite and Beclometasone Easyhaler are equipotent to Pulvinal beclometasone. If another product is required, please ensure correct dose calculation.

For salbutamol:

  • Pulvinal salbutamol contained 200 micrograms per dose; generic salbutamol MDI and the salbutamol Easyhaler 100micrograms (DPI) are the products of choice and contain 100 micrograms per dose.
