New BNF and BNFC App Launched

What’s new?
The publishers of the BNF and BNF for Children (BNFC) have launched a new BNF/BNFC App which will replace the existing NICE BNF and BNFC Apps. The new App is structured like the revised BNF on MedicinesComplete rather than the 'legacy' book chapter format, and is one App covering both BNF and BNFC. To ensure easy access, the new App doesn’t require access to the internet. (Internet access is only required for downloading updates). Unlike the NICE BNF App, the new App can be accessed without an Athens password.

When will the NICE BNF App be withdrawn?
The NICE BNF App will not be updated after 13th July and will be completely withdrawn later this year. Existing users are encouraged to make the transition to the new App as early as possible to ensure the most up-to-date information is accessed.

How do I find and download the new App?
The App can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS devices, and Google Play for Android devices.

How do I update the App (and when)?
Clinical content is updated every month in line with the other online updates to BNF publications. Each month an updated version of the App, containing all the BNF and BNFC content, will be available to download via the App Store and Google Play. The App will prompt you to download the new version when it becomes available. If you configure your mobile device’s settings to automatically update apps, new versions of the App will update automatically and the prompt will not appear.

Where can I find further information on the new App?
