Use of Antivirals for Flu

Public Health England (PHE) guidance on the use of antivirals for influenza was updated (Version 8) and approved for use in NHS Scotland in December 2017.  This is an update to the previous version.  One of the major changes from version 7 includes an update to the tables describing dosing in renal dysfunction in adults.

The NHSGGC Antimicrobial Management Team have prepared a document to highlight the link to the guidance and to give further information regarding the recommended ADULT dosing in relation to renal function that is included within the updated PHE guidance (version 8). The document is available here.
